Inspiring Women in Games event in partnership with NZGDA and UNICEF Aotearoa

RocketWerkz: Women in Games ready for lift off at the games studio, PwC Tower in Auckland, New Zealand

The evening focused on celebrating the achievements of women in the gaming industry, while exploring ongoing efforts to create more opportunities and inclusive spaces for women in gaming and tech.

Sam shared her insights on navigating and thriving in the gaming world. With a focus on closing the gender gap in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). The discussions emphasised how the gaming industry can better support young women and girls. Attendees raised many important career questions, and brought to light ongoing toxic behaviour experienced by females during online gaming by male counterparts.

This event was part of a broader initiative to empower women and promote diversity within the gaming industry. An important step towards fostering a more inclusive future for the next generation of industry professionals and players.
